Makna Investasi Saham dan Judi Online Dalam Pandangan Mahasiswa Tinjauan Dari Sisi Literasi Pasar Modal

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah perilaku keuangan mahasiswa, di mana akses informasi yang mudah mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam investasi pasar modal, namun di sisi lain juga memunculkan fenomena judi online yang semakin marak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana mahasiswa memaknai investasi saham dan judi online ditinjau dari perspektif literasi pasar modal. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan interpretif melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap mahasiswa aktif Universitas Kristen Indonesia Paulus Makassar yang memiliki pengalaman berinvestasi saham dan/atau terlibat dalam judi online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memaknai investasi saham sebagai aktivitas penanaman modal yang legal dan produktif untuk memperoleh keuntungan masa depan, namun pemahaman tersebut masih bersifat dasar dan belum mencakup aspek risiko serta kompleksitas pasar modal secara menyeluruh. Sementara itu, judi online dimaknai sebagai aktivitas spekulatif yang mengandalkan keberuntungan, dikemas dalam bentuk permainan menjanjikan keuntungan instan, serta menimbulkan dampak negatif baik finansial maupun psikologis berupa kecanduan dan tekanan mental. Rendahnya literasi pasar modal menyebabkan sebagian mahasiswa menyamakan investasi saham dengan judi online, memunculkan salah persepsi dalam pengambilan keputusan keuangan. Literasi pasar modal memiliki peran krusial dalam membentuk pemahaman rasional, membantu mahasiswa membedakan investasi legal dari aktivitas spekulatif ilegal, serta mendorong perilaku investasi yang sehat dan bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya peningkatan program edukasi literasi keuangan melalui integrasi kurikulum dan kegiatan kemahasiswaan.
