Eksplorasi Absorpsi Ekstrak Akar Mengkudu untuk Sel Surya Ramah Lingkungan

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi ekstrak akar mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) sebagai dye alami untuk aplikasi Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). Pengaruh suhu ekstraksi (350°C dan 500°C) serta waktu rendam (12, 24, dan 48 jam) terhadap kinerja DSSC dievaluasi melalui pengukuran tegangan rangkaian terbuka (Voc), arus hubungan pendek (Isc), fill faktor (FF), dan efisiensi konversi energi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa suhu ekstraksi 500°C dengan waktu rendam 48 jam memberikan kinerja terbaik, dengan Voc sebesar 3,8 mV, Isc sebesar 0,2 mA, dan efisiensi konversi energi mencapai 1,29%. Sebaliknya, pada suhu 350°C, efisiensi maksimum yang dicapai hanya 0,47%. Peningkatan suhu ekstraksi terbukti memperbaiki struktur molekul dye, meningkatkan eksitasi elektron, dan memperbaiki transfer elektron di dalam perangkat. Meskipun efisiensinya masih di bawah standar dye sintetis seperti N719, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa akar mengkudu memiliki potensi sebagai dye alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan dan hemat biaya. Penelitian ini juga memberikan dasar bagi optimasi lebih lanjut melalui modifikasi molekul dye dan variasi kondisi ekstraksi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi konversi energi DSSC berbasis bahan alami.
