Evaluasi dan Analisis Setting Relay Proteksi Motor Induksi 6 kV pada High Pressure Boiler Feed Pump di PLTGU Gresik

Abstract

Motor induksi tegangan menengah 6 kV pada sistem High Pressure Boiler Feed Pump (HP BFP) di PLTGU PT PLN Nusantara Power Gresik memainkan peran krusial dalam menjaga keberlangsungan proses pembangkitan listrik. Karena motor ini beroperasi secara terus-menerus dan menangani beban vital, sistem proteksi yang andal mutlak diperlukan guna mencegah gangguan yang dapat menyebabkan pembangkit listrik terhenti. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja dan kesesuaian pengaturan relay proteksi pada motor induksi 6 kV HP BFP berdasarkan kondisi operasi aktual di lapangan. Metodologi penelitian mencakup pengamatan langsung di lokasi, pengumpulan data teknis nameplate motor, pengujian circuit breaker, serta pengujian parameter relay proteksi yang meliputi Overcurrent Relay (OCR), Ground Fault Relay (GFR), Current Unbalance Protection, Acceleration Time Protection, dan Thermal Overload Protection. Arus nominal motor dihitung sebesar 283,04 A dan digunakan sebagai acuan dalam evaluasi setting relay. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sistem proteksi bekerja dalam kondisi baik, yaitu pengujian circuit breaker, GFR, OCR pada parameter arus, dan Thermal Overload Protection seluruhnya memenuhi batas acceptance yang ditentukan. Namun, ditemukan ketidaksesuaian pada parameter waktu operasi relay OCR (error 24 ms, melebihi batas 20 ms), Current Unbalance Protection (error 0,033 s, melebihi batas 0,02 s), dan Acceleration Time Protection (error 0,034 s, melebihi batas 0,02 s). Ketidaksesuaian ini berpotensi memengaruhi koordinasi dan selektivitas sistem proteksi. Oleh karena itu, disarankan dilakukan evaluasi, kalibrasi, dan penyesuaian setting relay secara berkala agar sistem proteksi motor induksi 6 kV tetap bekerja secara optimal, responsif, dan andal sesuai standar IEC 60255 dan IEEE C37.96.
