Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran tabungan dalam menghadapi tekanan ekonomi, khususnya kekhawatiran terkait biaya pendidikan. Kekhawatiran finansial dapat memengaruhi keputusan jangka panjang individu maupun keluarga, sehingga penting untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang dapat menguranginya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh kepemilikan tabungan terhadap tingkat kekhawatiran finansial untuk biaya pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data sekunder Global Findex 2021 yang diterbitkan oleh World Bank, mencakup 139 negara. Analisis dilakukan dengan regresi Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) menggunakan STATA 17.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemilikan tabungan berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kekhawatiran finansial biaya pendidikan, dengan koefisien regresi –0,215 (p < 0,01). Artinya, individu yang memiliki tabungan cenderung mengalami tingkat kekhawatiran lebih rendah dibandingkan mereka yang tidak memiliki tabungan. Model regresi yang digunakan mampu menjelaskan 13,7% variasi dalam tingkat kekhawatiran finansial. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya akses dan kebiasaan menabung sebagai strategi dalam mengurangi kecemasan finansial, khususnya terkait pembiayaan pendidikan.
