Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi militer membutuhkan sistem komunikasi yang aman, sulit dideteksi, dan tahan terhadap gangguan Radio Frequency (RF) jamming. Komunikasi berbasis frekuensi radio konvensional masih memiliki kerentanan terhadap interferensi dan penyadapan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun sistem Silent Communication menggunakan cahaya laser berbasis Arduino Nano sebagai alternatif komunikasi pada lingkungan militer. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental melalui perancangan dan pengujian prototipe. Sistem terdiri atas Arduino Nano sebagai pengendali, modul laser sebagai media transmisi, dan sensor cahaya sebagai penerima. Data berupa pesan teks dikirim menggunakan metode modulasi On-Off Keying (OOK) melalui jalur Line of Sight (LOS). Pengujian dilakukan terhadap kemampuan pengiriman data, pengaruh jarak komunikasi, gangguan RF, dan cahaya lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengirim dan menerima pesan teks dengan baik selama jalur LOS terjaga. Peningkatan jarak komunikasi menyebabkan penurunan kualitas sinyal, sedangkan intensitas cahaya lingkungan yang tinggi dapat mempengaruhi kinerja sensor penerima. Pengujian juga membuktikan bahwa gangguan RF tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap komunikasi karena sistem bekerja menggunakan spektrum optik yang berbeda dengan spektrum radio. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sistem Silent Communication berbasis cahaya laser menggunakan Arduino Nano berhasil direalisasikan dan menunjukkan ketahanan terhadap RF jamming. Dengan karakteristik tersebut, sistem ini berpotensi menjadi alternatif komunikasi taktis yang aman dan mendukung kebutuhan operasi militer modern.
