Abstract

Rehabilitasi dan pelepasliaran satwa liar menjadi landasan penting dalam lingkup konservasi satwa liar untuk memulihkan kondisi kesehatan, perilaku, dan kemampuan adaptasi satwa sebelum dikembalikan ke habitat alaminya. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan sebagai gambaran dasar dalam evaluasi faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan rehabilitasi dan pelepasliaran satwa liar serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode literature review melalui analisis berbagai artikel ilmiah yang diperoleh dari Google Scholar, Scopus, dan sumber akademik lainnya. Hasil kajian ditemukan bahwa keberhasilan rehabilitasi tidak hanya ditentukan oleh jumlah satwa yang berhasil dilepasliarkan ke alam liar, tetapi kemampuan satwa yang menjadi titik poin penting dalam upaya ini. Pelepasliaran satwa dapat dikatakan baik jika tidak mengabaikan aspek-aspek seperti kemampuan satwa untuk bertahan hidup dan beradaptasi di alam. Terdapat faktor utama yang menjadi titik keberhasilan pelepasliaran satwa liar meliputi kondisi kesehatan sebelum pelepasliaran, kualitas habitat, kemampuan mempertahankan perilaku alami, serta monitoring pascapelepasliaran. Peneliaitan ini juga menemukan bahwa belum terdapat indikator keberhasilan yang terstandarisasi dan krusial dalam hal pelepasliaran satwa liar, sehingga evaluasi antarprogram masih sulit dibandingkan. Oleh karena itu, tetap diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut sebagai dasar upaya pengembangan standar evaluasi yang seragam, monitoring jangka panjang, serta pendekatan rehabilitasi yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik spesies untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program rehabilitasi dalam mendukung konservasi satwa liar.
