Abstract

Dalam perspektif agribisnis, pengembangan komoditas yang sesuai dengan karakteristik sumber daya lokal menjadi salah satu strategi penting untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan sekaligus memperkuat kesejahteraan petani. Salah satu komoditas yang mulai mendapatkan perhatian di Kabupaten Lombok Utara dalam beberapa tahun terakhir adalah kurma (Phoenix dactylifera L.). Pengembangan kurma di wilayah ini mulai dilakukan melalui suatu model kelembagaan yang dikenal sebagai sistem nyakap. Sistem ini melibatkan tiga aktor utama, yaitu petani sebagai penyedia lahan, PT Ukhuwah Datu Nusantara sebagai pengelola budidaya, dan investor sebagai penyedia modal. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi agribisnis kurma berbasis sistem nyakap pada lahan kering Kabupaten Lombok Utara serta mengidentifikasi peluang dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur (literature review) dengan pendekatan narrative review. Data yang digunakan merupakan artikel ilmiah, buku, laporan penelitian, dan dokumen kebijakan yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Selain menggunakan literatur ilmiah, penelitian ini juga memanfaatkan informasi kelembagaan mengenai pengembangan kurma yang diperoleh dari PT Ukhuwah Datu Nusantara sebagai bahan deskripsi kasus. Hasil penelitian memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sistem nyakap merupakan model kelembagaan agribisnis yang mampu mengintegrasikan faktor produksi utama dalam satu sistem usaha. Model tersebut berpotensi mendukung peningkatan kesejahteraan petani sekaligus memperkuat keberlanjutan pemanfaatan lahan kering melalui mekanisme pembagian manfaat dan risiko yang lebih proporsional. Dengan demikian, pengembangan agribisnis kurma berbasis sistem nyakap dapat dipandang sebagai salah satu alternatif model pemanfaatan lahan kering yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan petani tanpa mengabaikan aspek keberlanjutan lingkungan.
